    Take care of your team and
       they will take care of you...

    The return on the money invested in retaining good employees and reducing sick days will pay off ten fold. Prevention is always cheaper than “cure.”

    Evaluate your workplace...
    Consider the “real” needs to reduce stress in your business or work area! If there are issues between employees, excessive sick days, production is inefficient or slowed, then stress is involved. You need take action. Remember: What you gain back as you make some changes will be greater than any short term losses.

    Develop a plan and move
      quickly to reduce the stress...
    • Make the workplace “family friendly”- meeting the needs of the employees
    • Make the workplace attractive, clean, and neat
    • Encourage smiling and other expressions of gratitude (such as thank you) and respect (great idea, please, sorry)
    • Make the dress code fit the function
    • Design policies with the employee needs in mind (flexibility of hours, time shifting, job sharing, cross training)
    • Provide opportunities for exercise (gym, access to classes such as yoga)
    • Provide stress management training
    • Provide individual counseling when needed (prevention is less expensive than rehabilitation/retraining)
    • Provide Executive Coaching to prevent burnout
